Final evaluation of Better Neighbourhood and Streetscene Projects

Building on the interim evaluation we undertook a year previously, Papworth Research & Consultancy undertook a final evaluation of the Better Neighbourhood project, a £3.6m capital programme of improvements to the areas around 88 blocks of flats across Thornhill, a housing estate in Southampton. Through consultations with Thornhill Plus You, Southampton City Council, contractors and residents, and a residents' survey, Papworth Research & Consultancy updated the interim evaluation and identified best practice lessons for future project. At the same time, Papworth Research & Consultancy evaluated StreetScene, a £1.1m project designed to improve the landscape quality and amenity of areas of Thornhill.Download the report.
