We investigated the supply of, and demand for, construction skills in East London, making recommendations for action to The Local London Skills and Employment Board.Through desk research and consultations with Borough Councils, training providers, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the Greater London Authority (GLA), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the London Region Construction Training Group (LRCTG), we mapped construction training provision, identified current and forecast skills gaps and shortages, and collated data on the value and scale of the construction sector across the Local London area (Barking & Dagenham, Bexley, Enfield, Greenwich, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets).
